Policies
1. Additional Applications and Charges:
- Achieving the desired result may require more than two procedures.
- Further applications will be chargeable at the discretion of The Beauty Studio IOM.
- Any changes from the initial agreement, such as a stronger look or color, will be chargeable.
2. Importance of Aftercare:
- Adhering to your Aftercare Instructions is crucial to prevent infection after leaving the clinic.
- Picking, pulling, or accidentally knocking the treated area can lead to infection and affect the healed result.
- Any necessary additional work due to improper aftercare will incur an extra charge.
3. Consultation and Consent:
- Your consultation with Ara will involve discussing the benefits and risks of the proposed treatment.
- A consultation form will be used for reference and will require signatures from both the client and the practitioner.
- Ara will explain the procedure and provide verbal and written aftercare information.
4. Appointment and Payment:
- Single applications are not available for new treatments.
- Appointments not taken within 8 weeks will be chargeable.
- Further applications will be fully charged.
- Ara reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
5. Expectations and Results:
- SPMU is an art process and cannot guarantee an exact color result as it varies among individuals.
- The elected color will appear darker immediately after the treatment and will lighten up within 7-14 days.
- Results may vary based on skin type and other factors.
- Additional treatments may be required before the procedure is deemed complete, and the payment will be agreed upon beforehand.
- It is recommended to wait 4-8 weeks before any additional work to allow the area to heal fully.
6. Skin Types and Results:
- Results can vary on different skin types, including oily skin and Fitzpatrick skin types 3-6.
- Some skin types, such as those with large pores and oily skin, may require an additional top-up treatment at an extra cost.
- Tattooing an area more than 3 times within a year is strongly inadvisable.
7. Guarantee and Refunds:
- Results cannot be guaranteed, especially for clients with problem skin.
- Refunds are not offered as the treatment has been carried out at a cost to the practitioner.
8. Touch-Up Treatment:
- A free touch-up treatment is included in the price and should be booked within 4-6 weeks of the initial treatment.
9. Longevity and Maintenance:
- The color should stay visible in the skin for several years or indefinitely, depending on the individual's skin type and chosen color.
- Periodic re-touch procedures may be required to maintain the procedure's freshness, depending on age and skin type.
10. Healing Process and Discomfort:
- After each treatment, the treated area may swell and distort, which should settle within 2-3 days.
- Immediate post-treatment, a white hue, redness, or bruising may be visible, and proper care instructions will be provided.
- Some discomfort may be experienced during the treatment, but Ara will ensure your comfort throughout the process.
11. Pigments and MRI/CAT Scans:
- Pigments used are made from iron oxides and differ from tattoo inks.
- If you have an MRI or CAT scan, inform the radiologist about your medical tattoo.
- A slight tingling sensation in the treated area may occur.
12. Healed Results and Additional Sessions:
- Healed results vary among individuals, and the use of a pencil or powder may still be needed.
- The healing process is beyond our control, and no guarantees can be made.

Cancellation Policy:
- 1. We have a strict full-fee 48-hour notice cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly provide us with a minimum of 48 hours notice to avoid being charged the full cost of your appointment. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Please note that no refunds or credit notes will be issued for any deposits made on any Semi Permanent Makeup treatment in case of cancellation.
- Refunds or credit notes will not be provided for any gift vouchers. If you choose to cancel your appointment, your deposit will automatically be forfeited.
- All appointments and deposits are non-transferable.
- Please be aware that pricing is subject to change at any time. Our rates may increase or vary, especially for traveling, events, or special circumstances.
Touch-Up and Retouch Policy:
- Your second session/touch-up session appointment is free of charge. This appointment can be scheduled no sooner than 4-8 weeks following your first session, although it is better to schedule it later. We need to give your skin sufficient time to fully heal and regenerate before tattooing it again. This touch-up appointment is highly recommended for achieving the best results. Please note that you should book your complimentary touch-up within 4 weeks after the initial procedure. If a rescheduled appointment does not fall within this time frame (after 8 weeks), touch-up fees will apply.
- The annual retouch price includes one treatment only. If you require any further touch-up within 3 months, an additional charge will apply.
- For touch-ups after 18 months, the full procedure price will be charged.
- Touch-Ups sessions are only applicable to our existing clients and not available for first-time clients. (Between 6 - 17 months)
We recommend an annual retouch every 12-18 months after your initial treatment. If you maintain your treatments after 18 months, they will be charged at the full procedure price.
Please be aware that prices are subject to change without prior notice.
We can only treat clients who are 18 years or older.
PLEASE NOTE:
- If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed and are interested in a cover-up/re-work, you MUST email Ara a clear photo PRIOR to booking your consultation appointment. We cannot guarantee results for cases such as these, and we must approve that your eyebrows are workable. In some cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, discolored, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before we begin the cover-up/re-work. Previously tattooed areas and cover-ups will almost always require additional touch-ups for best results, and these touch-ups will be charged accordingly. Although we give our best efforts to provide you with quality service, please understand that many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently. For more information, please refer to our FAQ section to determine if the services we offer may be beneficial to you.
- A deposit of £50 is required to book and confirm every new appointment. After your consultation, you can book your appointment and make the deposit payment. This deposit will be discounted from the total cost of your treatment. During this appointment, we will perform a patch test, complete the necessary paperwork, and shape your brows through waxing if needed. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable.
Not included in any offer:
- Clients with Alopecia or other hair conditions.
- Clients with old cosmetic tattoos.
- Any corrections to existing semi-permanent makeup (SPMU).
