Chemical Peels

CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical Peels – mesopeel® MD by Mesoestetic

Chemical peels are professional aesthetic treatments that promote controlled skin renewal by applying specific acids that exfoliate and stimulate skin regeneration.

At The Beauty Studio IOM, we use the mesopeel® MD range by Mesoestetic, a medical-grade peel system designed to address a broad range of skin concerns with predictable results and progressive improvement, endorsed by scientific evidence and used by leading aesthetic clinics worldwide.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel uses carefully formulated acids to remove damaged skin cells and promote the growth of healthier, smoother, more radiant skin. Peels vary in strength and purpose, and professional assessment ensures the right choice for each skin type and concern.

Unlike aggressive treatments, mesopeel® MD protocols are controlled, personalised and progressive, delivering improvements over a series of sessions rather than in a single shock to the skin.

Why choose mesopeel® MD?

mesopeel® MD is a Class I Medical Device developed by Mesoestetic. It combines multi-acid formulations with the exclusive MD Complex, designed to enhance regeneration and support tolerance of active acids for better results and recovery.

The MD Complex includes:

  • Arginine – stimulates cell repair and regeneration
  • Shikimic acid – improves texture, regulates sebum, protects against ageing
  • Caffeic acid – antioxidant and anti-inflammatory

This complex helps the skin respond better to peel action while supporting repair and comfort post-treatment.

Preparatory Peels

Used to support treatment tolerance and outcomes:
• Salicylic 20% – for oily skin and acne
• Lactic 30% – for sensitive or dry skin
• Mandelic 30% – for pigmentation and thickened texture

These are often used before or between main peel sessions.

How chemical peels work

A trained practitioner applies the selected solution to the skin for a controlled time.
This gently dissolves the bonds between old skin cells and stimulates regeneration.

After the peel:
✔The skin exfoliates
✔New, healthier skin emerges
✔Texture, tone and clarity improve

Recovery depends on peel strength and individual skin response.

Combined Treatment Programs

mesopeel® MD treatments are most effective when used as programmes tailored to skin needs. Other top clinics structure peels in similar combined protocols to maximise results gradually rather than using a single intensive session.

Treatment frequency & expectations

Chemical peels are progressive programmes, not instant fixes.

✔Most peels are spaced every 2–4 weeks
✔A course of 3–6 sessions is typical
✔Maintenance sessions may be recommended

This structured progression provides:
✔Safer, more comfortable treatment
✔Consistent, improving results
✔Long-term skin health

Aftercare & Sun Protection

Daily sun protection is essential to preserve results and prevent pigmentation:
- SPF 50+ every day
- All year round
- Even on cloudy days

Good aftercare supports healing and maximises peel benefits.
